Roku is a pretty famous streaming media player which lets you watch videos and listen to music, play games and use many other apps on your Internet TV. It basically takes up content from web and displays it on your TV screen. It comes packed with loads of features like it supports Full HD 1080p, quad-core processor, you can search across multiple content providers and there’s also a mobile application from which you can use your mobile device as a remote or cast personal media to your TV. Screen monitoring is also compatible with Android and Windows devices. It also has shortcut buttons where you can skip to the popular channels like Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO and others, these buttons vary by model. There are five models available in the market as of now, The Express and Express+ models are for TV models that dont have HDMI port. The Streaming Stick and Stick Plus are on a much classy side with more wireless specs, then there is The Ultra model which has many additional features like voice searching via remote, an Ethernet connection, micro SD slot if you need extra storage and there are gaming buttons and a remote finder too.
Plex is a media streaming app which you can download on your Roku TV. Plex is an all in one app as it lets you store all your media content in a single place and you can access it anytime you want, with Plex you can cast from other devices directly to your TV, get notified about new episodes with your feed, even search all your streaming channels at once with your voice. One of the best feature that i personally like is that you have instant replay, if you are playing a live feed and miss a dialogue or want another look at the scene you can use the instant replay feature and watch it again.
