Samsung is a well known company as has been dominating the electronics market for quite some time, it has been launching some great tech in most affordable prices, Samsung brought Gear VR on September 3, 2014, later more improved models of it were released which were better than their predecessor and provided more comfort with its cushioned straps and the snug fit around the head, with its latest release Samsung Gear VR is a virtual reality headset which is a product of Samsung Electronics in collaboration with Oculus but manufactured by Samsung. It is designed to work with most of Samsung’s flagship smartphones which currently support Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S8+, Samsung Galaxy Note fan Edition, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy A8/A8+ and the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ and various other devices. Apart from the connectivity and display, Samsung Gear VR acts as a controllers as well containing the field of view and custom inertial measurement unit, or IMU for rotational tracking which allows the smartphone to connect via micro USB. It also includes a touchpad and back button on the side, there’s a proximity sensor which detects whether the headset is on. Samsung Gear VR can be calibrated using the wheel provided on top of the headset and there’s a trackpad on the right side of device, back button is located above it. You can adjust volume using the volume rockers located on the right hand side.

- First you need a device compatible with Samsung Gear VR (compatible devices are mentioned above).
- Download Plex App.
- Sign in to your Plex account and open settings located on top right.
- Tap on touchpad when the laser pointer is hovering over the menu.
- Now tap hand hold touchpad when laser pointer is over the screen to resize it.
- Press the back key to stop playback and return to video navigation.
